Dr Godfrey Town chaired the scientific sessions on ‘Product Analysis: Epilatory Lasers and IPLs’ and ‘Home-use Devices (HUDs) and Skin Ageing’ at the IMCAS World Congress held 30th and 31st January 2020 at the Palais des Congrès, Paris.
Leading laser and IPL manufacturers (including Alma, Candela, Deka, Fotona, Lumenis and Lutronic) were invited to present latest advances in hair reduction technology including device specifications (new pulse structures, wavelength manipulation, modes of action) and clinical application (new indications, applicators, cooling management, plume evacuation and smart clinic software).
World-renowned speakers including Michael Gold, Christine Dierickx, Eloisa Leis Ayers, Gun Young Ahn, Torsten Stocker and Mukta Sachdev reviewed current HUDs for skin ageing, HUDs and skin ageing in skin of colour, HUDs and skin ageing in Asian skin, New HUDS in 2020 and beyond and HUDS – The patient perspective.
